Local 1846 Members Step Up to Help Push Their Union Forward
Congratulations and thank you to the Local 1846 members who answered the call and attended an important organizing meeting recently at the Union Hall. Council Rep Emanuel Mitchell, Sr. chairs the LU1846 Organizing Committee and asked for members to get involved and start by attending the meeting.
“We had a great turnout. I would like thank everyone who came out and joined in our organizing efforts. This was a great accomplishment for Local Union 1846 and a good start in getting members involved and getting them committed to Organize.”
Members reviewed the Central South Carpenters Regional Council goals for Local 1846 and learned why it’s necessary to Organize. A group of members then volunteered to stay after the meeting and help with member retention phone banking.
"We are determined to make a difference and push our Union forward with the use of strategic organizing efforts," said Mitchell. "We need every member's help, in any way she or he can, to make this happen. I know that by working together we will make a difference. It’s simply what we do!”
It’s not too late to get involved. Contact Emanuel as soon as possible, at:
