Louisiana Attorney General Tied to Labor Scheme
Louisiana’s Attorney General Jeff Landry is responsible for upholding the law, including construction tax fraud and misclassification of workers. He has also made a habit of publicly condemning the lack of strong border security and equally lacking immigration policies.
Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry also allegedly ran a grand scheme by teaming with his brother and with a Texas labor brokers to import foreign workers for Landry’s shell companies.
According to nola.com: "They set out to make millions by winning federal approval to bring in hundreds of skilled Mexican construction workers to help build a massive liquefied natural gas terminal in Cameron Parish. The effort involved three firms with ties to the attorney general: two firms owned by Jeff Landry, and one owned by his brother, Benjamin Landry, and a business associate, documents and emails show."
