Do You Have What it Takes to be a 300-Hitter in the UBC?

The Central South Carpenters are calling on our best and brightest journeymen to participate in our Council’s August session of the UBC Journeymen: Building Leadership for a Strong Future training program.

Also known as the 300-Hitter program, this career-building program develops leadership, mentoring, coaching, and communication skills for journeymen, turning them into jobsite leaders. Members also learn to engage with newer members and lead by example, all while promoting positive work environments and productivity on the job.

Our Council’s session is August 24-27, 2017 at the Carpenters International Training Center in Las Vegas.

“We are looking for 180 journeymen members in good standing who are truly heavy hitters in the field,” said Jason Engels, Council Executive Secretary-Treasurer. “These candidates should have continuously high work hours, are motivated, and are willing and able to attend the training.”

One popular highlight of the training program is a Leadership Panel Discussion, where program participants have the opportunity to interact with the Southern District Vice President, Council EST Engels, and key Council staff.

The demand for attending this program is great, so please contact your local union council representative as soon as possible to inquire about the criteria, travel, and other details by Wednesday, May 31.

“You do not want to miss this excellent opportunity to spend time at the International Training Center and further your career by participating in this leadership program with fellow members from throughout our four-state Regional Council,” Engels added.

Reminder: There are only 180 spots available. Please contact your Local Union Council Representative as soon as possible. Click here to find your rep.
