Council leaders represent well at state Democratic event

Central South Carpenter Leaders represented the Council well at the 2016 Jefferson Jackson Democratic dinner, held this year at the Hyatt Regency in New Orleans.

Mayor Mitch Landrieu opened the event along with the state Democratic Chair, Karen Carter Peterson. Speakers were Congressman Joaquin Castro of Texas, Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards, and Donna Brazile, a native of Kenner, Louisiana who is now a Democratic political strategist and syndicated columnist.

The annual event was a great opportunity for Democrats from all over Louisiana to meet and rally behind the election of Hillary Clinton.
