By: Jaime Smith, Marketing & Communications Director
In June, Journey level members successfully completed a 4-day leadership program at the International Training Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The program develops leadership skills centered around mentoring, coaching, and communications. Our journey level leaders are now prepared to engage with newer members, lead by example, promote positive work environments & productivity on the job.
The UBC actively promotes a constructive job site culture, where members value and motivate each other to achieve their highest potential and ensure maximum productivity.
This program is open to UBC Journey level members who are considered "Heavy Hitters" in the field. Those who have the ability and willingness to influence others.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Congratulations to our members who completed the program. It's great having you on our team!
As part of our commitment to providing skilled workers, our training program is the most extensive in the industry. Students get hands-on experience while earning a paycheck and building the skills they need for a successful career in construction.
If you or someone you know are interested in learning more about a career in the construction industry, call or stop by your local union office.
