Infrastructure Bill News

The Kerr Dam Rehabilitation project has been a crucial development in the infrastructure of Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, this project aims to repair tainter gates 11-15 around the river and is estimated to cost $25 million. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is managing the project, which is also being spotlighted on White House state fact sheets for the State of Oklahoma.
Williams Construction, an existing signatory contractor working on the levee system by the river, saw this project as a great opportunity to expand their business and so decided to partner with another company in order to get involved in the work required. After a period of deliberation, they chose to partner with Brayman Construction, an union contractor from Pennsylvania. This partnership enabled CSCRC to obtain a Project Labor Agreement to help complete the concrete form work for the project.
This agreement will create 15-20 Union jobs on site and is expected to last 6-8 months. The Kerr Dam Rehabilitation project is a vital step forward for infrastructure improvements in Oklahoma, and with the help of Williams Construction and its partner companies it will be completed in an efficient and cost-effective manner. This is a great example of how the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law can help states invest in their infrastructure, creating jobs and providing essential services for local communities.
